Summer Benefit Enrollments – What You Need to Know


TRS-ActiveCare health insurance has a mandatory annual enrollment this year.  All employees must actively enroll or decline coverage for themselves and all benefit eligible dependents because plan elections will not carry forward to the new plan year (September 1, 2015-August 31, 2016). This means that all employees must log in to make their selection and complete their enrollment. It is important to note that FBS cannot roll your employees’ medical elections to the new plan year.

To complete enrollment, your employees will need to have the dates of birth and social security numbers for all benefit eligible spouses and children. For ACA reporting purposes, all eligible dependents must be entered into the enrollment system, regardless of whether the employee is choosing to enroll or decline coverage for them.

Call Center Hours

This year, due to the fact that ACA guidelines are requiring Mandatory Enrollment, we have employed more call center representatives and extended our call center hours of operation for enhanced accessibility and less wait time. Our call center representatives are extensively trained to assist your employees with the following:

  • Walk employees through their online enrollment over the phone.
  • Complete enrollment via phone for employees without computer or internet access.
  • Assist with employee login issues.
  • Provide an overview of the TRS-medical plans.
  • Direct your employees where to go for specific information regarding medical questions.
  • Answer your employee’s supplemental benefit plan questions.

Keep in mind, all phone calls are recorded for accuracy and quality assurance purposes. Bilingual call center representatives are available at all times.
