On April 10th, the Texas Medical Board adopted rule changes at its Board meeting that will limit access to telemedicine services in Texas, effective in June 2015.
In an effort to protect Texan’s right to use telemedicine, legislation has been introduced in the form of HB3444 in the Texas House of Representatives. This bill however is currently stalled in committee and has not had a hearing.
In an effort to keep telemedicine in Texas, we encourage you and your employees to support HB3444 by contacting two key State Representatives assigned to the bill’s committee:
- Committee Chair Representative Myra Crownover
- Committee Member Representative John Zerwas
