Benefits Resolutions for 2016

[metaslider id=2211]
January is already in full swing (we can’t believe it either) and it’s time to start thinking about your benefits resolutions for the year. So maybe some of you “forgot” to set benefits goals for yourself and your employees in 2016. Lucky for you, we have a list to get you started!

Education

Make it a point this year to better educate your employees. Find out which benefits they aren’t utilizing and take time to explain what these options mean and why they are important. They may be skipping over certain offerings simply because they don’t know enough about them. Give them all the facts before they decide.

Open Enrollment

Start prepping for open enrollment earlier than you did last year. We know it can be a stressful time of year for all of us, but each extra day can make a big difference in the success of your open enrollment. You may even want to provide an incentive for employees who complete their enrollment early this year to avoid those last minute enrollments.

Affordable Care Act (ACA)

The ACA has a history of trying to keep us on our toes with all of the rules and regulations, and 2016 will be no different. This year, your resolution should be to get more familiar with the ACA and get your company where it needs to be in terms of compliance. Check out our ACA Employer Update for 2016 for a quick summary.

Now that we’ve got the ball rolling, you may think of other benefits resolutions that are ideal for your employees. Every company is different, so please comment below and let us know what goals you have in mind for 2016!
